Hotel Overview
Opened
on January 3, 1997, New York New York recreates the
skyline of New York in Las Vegas. The twelve connecting
hotel towers allow you to stay in the Chrysler Building
or the Empire State Building. Inside the casino you find
Gallagher's famous Steakhouse. After dinner visit
Hamilton's, an art deco lounge with a wide variety of
cigar selections. Be sure to ride the Manhattan Express
Rollercoaster between 10a.m. and 10p.m.
The casino interior is accented with New York City landmarks such as
Time Square and Central Park. The 84,000-square-foot casino features
more than 80 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, Let
It Ride and Caribbean Stud, plus more than 2,000 of the latest reel
and video gaming machines.
Attractions
The Manhattan Express roller coaster takes white-knucklers on an
exciting ride that twists, loops and dives around and through the
property, reaching speed of up to 67 mph. The pool area has food and
beverage service. Relax and refresh at The Spa at New York-New York
and Euphoria Salons & Day Spas. ESPN Zone features interactive
sports games, a full-blown production studio, screening room and an
ESPN souvenir store.
Dining
Contributing to the Manhattan flavor are Las Vegas versions of
popular New York eateries -- the lively America restaurant;
Gallagher's Steakhouse; Gonzalez Y Gonzalez, which, like its East
Coast counterpart, features a well-stocked margarita bar; Il Fornaio,
which offers fine Italian dining; and Chin-Chin Chinese restaurant.
The newest addition is the seventh ESPN Zone, a premier
sports-themed dining and entertainment complex which opened in the
summer of 2001. For more street-friendly fare, you can even wrap
your fingers around a genuine Nathan's hot dog at the Coney Island
Food Pavilion.
